Billy Idol has announced he will release a new album to coincide with his autobiography in October.
The as-yet-untitled album will be Idol's eighth. In 2006 he unveiled the Christmas record Happy Holidays, a year after releasing Devil's Playground.
His autobiography, Dancing With Myself, is scheduled for an October 7 release, with the album due out around the same time, according to Idol's management.
Twenty years on from Rebel Yell and 10 years after overdosing on crack, Billy came back in 2005 with trademark sneer, guitarist Steve Stevens and an album of him doing what he does best.
